Serious Sam is the first game of the series developed by Croteam. The game was released in 2001 and it was an extremely well loved game for PC. Originall the game was released exclusively for PC, but after hitting hard on the PC, the success continued on XBox, PlayStation and Gamecube even. The game play of Serious Sam is a first person shooter oriented. Most of the game is played on the open surfaces while some trailers are also featured in the hidden rooms. First Encounter was the first game to be released in the series which was next followed by Second Encounter and then came Serious Sam 2. All these versions have their seperate demo versions as well. Huge open surfaces and open shooting areas can be experienced in Serious Sam demo as well.
