Capcom has confirmed a downloadable Resident Evil 5 demo for both PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. The free to download demo will arrive next week but for Japanes version Biohazard 5 only. In Japan, Resident Evil 5 is known by name Biohazard 5 and you will be able to download Biohazard 5 demo for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 next week.

This news has been confirmed by shacknews. Resident Evil 5 is all set for release on March 13, next year but you can download Resident Evil 5 demo for free for your XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 now. Shacknews has also stated that the release of Resident Evil 5 PlayStation 3 demo was not confirmed earlier but in an update, website has confirmed a Biohazard 5 demo for PlayStation 3 as well. Japanes demo will be releasing prior to the North American demo version of the game.

This downloadable Resident Evil 5 demo for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 will contain two levels to play which can be played both offline and online in co-op mode. Demo is available for download on both PlayStation Store and XBox Live MArketplace. For XBox 360, Resident Evil 5 demo will be initially available to paying XBox Live Gold Members only. No immediate download of Resident Evil 5 demo will be available to other types of XBox Live account holders.
